Seeking the Seeker: Part 4

 So Doc attends Stormie's wounds, damn that girl's been hit hard, and Gavin flanks the door waiting for more trouble. I hit the pockets on the guy who assaulted Troy and take his ID and empty his pockets. Chewy loots the rifle boy and finds no ID,and a few guns and ammo, turns out my guy had an auto pistol, body pistol and 400cr in his pants which I pocket of course. Gavin spots a passenger type van out front so I hit the guy with the Gauss gun and his pocket yields us a Monolith Co. Mining ID for one Omar Kreegan, 1,100crs,and a pulse. After a good look at his condition and taking his overall unfriendly attitude in account I went ahead and slit his throat and moved on. Gavin alerts us that the passenger van is moving closer to the bar and heads to the back door, this has my full attention cause Gavin has a good sense of survival.

   Chewy grabs the guy taking us to Horton and we all file out the backdoor. I carry Stormie's limp body out, yeah I know your all like "you did whaaa?", and Headed out the door. Coming from a heavy G planet I am like all strong and shit. So Chewy takes point, as all captains should, and peeks around the corner ...and gets shot. "Crap!" He returns fire and hits, Gavin seeing where the shots are being fired from jumps out and shoots. The guy goes down and Chewy goes out slowly but the street is empty and everything seems all clear. I follow Gavin and Chewy about a block down the ally way. For the most part our new friend sticks by my side in the middle of the group till we hit the docking bay, he heads into number 8 and we board his ship. We place Stormie in cold sleep so she can heal a bit longer and Doc tries to fix up Chewy but only makes it worse at first, I think the Doc is a bit shook up. He needs some Doctoring himself and as Gavin and I help get the ship underway Chewy returns the healing feeling and helps Doc get back to 100%.

    The flight takes us about a day and a half and is pretty uneventful till we thaw out our Stormiesicle and Doc finds a bullet next to her heart. It is touch and go but he pulls her through and she is already looking better. So we finally land and this ass hat in his tattered vacc suit takes us to a grave site. He must think he is funny, but I am not laughing. He claims this is where Horton is buried, well crap that does us no good at all. He says the guys with Monolith Mining ambushed Horton and killed him for poaching the company's ore. "Kill Him" chewy says and I take aim and fire as the guy focuses on Chewy. I imagine the look of horror on his face as those two little words registered, he tries to jump to the side and fire his own weapon but I am too fast for him. He is dead before he hits the ground,still always the good girl scout I check for a pulse and find none. I frisk him and find a body pistol, some tech stuff and no ID.  Nothing more to do here so we head back to the dead guys ship, which I guess belongs to us now.

   Gavin reaches the door first and finds it won't open, so we drag the body over and discover the palm reader wont read a corpse's hand. Bummer. Lucky for us Stormie is still inside and out of cold sleep. Chewy shoots her a com message to let us in. Once we are inside Gavin and Chewy head over to the command computer and we take off in our new seeker, gotta love some low law level planets! So now we have a ship, Gavin made sure to change to locks and now we have to figure out what to do next. We begin to check out our new ship and find a hidden compartment in the cargo hold. "Sweet!" I say. Inside we find a box, doc lifts it out and opens the lid. Inside we find 12 vials of blue glowing liquid. "Interesting, What is it?" I ask. It's 30K per person says Chewy as he scans a cred stick that had fallen from the box. "Woot! I love me some loot". No one seems to know what the vials contain so we store is away and get back to the business at hand.
