Seeking the seeker final

So we head to the first corporate compound we see with Gavin at the wheel and request permission to land. They send over the coordinates and tell us to land on the pad. They ask us to come out unarmed, "As if!" I say and tuck my body pistols away. They appear to vanish into my outfit which is very form fitting. Two officers come up to us and eleven people come out with small arms. They ask us to sit and we do, cause we really don't have a death wish I swear. They tell us they hate scrubs and we explain that we are not in the mining business. We ask them about local ship traders, trying to get the low down on our dear
dead Horton's ship.
They don't have any thing new to tell us so we ask about the blue stuff. The guards ask where we got it and we told them the truth, "The ship man." Chewy says getting very irritated, "Look we are not scrubs, we just want to find out what this blue shit is and if there is a ship trader in town." They refuse to say anything more about either subject. "Let my Navigator go get it." as he waves towards me. The room is seething with hostility as I slowly get up and slide near the door. They Jump up as if lil ole me is a threat! When one guard gets cocky and puts his hand on his gun, Gavin stands up and takes aim at the nearest officer. I skirt around two guards and haul ass to the ship and bring out half the vials of the blue stuff. I don't want to show all our cards just yet. The captain and two of the guards walk up and Chewy states our mission and asks about the broker again. They ignore him and tell us the blue stuff is a drug called chromolium. Some sort of super speed, not my style but what ever floats boat. We realize these choads having nothing for us and we take our leave. We board the new ship, now and forever to be know as the clunker, and head to the next corporate compound.

We are directed to a landing pad and I get a serious case of deja vu. We decide to make this quick and give the patrol our mission and ask them about Horton's ship and again get know where, same thing at the next compound. The best info we get is to check out the fuel stops. So we head out to the gas giant, this takes 9 days but at least we can check the fuel logs. We spend the time getting the clunker in order and Stormie gets better and better. She is still pretty bruised but up and chatting. Gavin finds the clunker has 3 major problems but he is able to fix them. Chewy reprograms the rest of the ships computer and we are loaded with food and supplies. As we near the gas giant Gavin brings us in quietly. I could give you the grand tour of the clunker but I dunno if we are gonna keep it or not. Its got a few staterooms and is dusty and musty smelling, the storerooms are fully stocked and we find some useful tools and equipment.

We go right into orbit and begin to refuel and scan. We find there are four ships refueling here. The first is finished fueling and is not broadcasting, the second is just starting to fuel up, the third is in a tight polar orbit and appears to be tumbling. It's a seeker! We all get a bit excited as we move closer to the spinning ship. Hoping to see Nutronium Strike on the side we drop into a lower orbit. It takes 2 days to get near it. It is tumbling and Doc points out the ship appears to be in a deteriorating orbit. Chewy wants to dock to the ship and check it out but it is turning to fast. So we maneuver ourselves about 2 lengths away which is as close as we can get and we suit up. Chewy and I get on our vacc suits and get ready to board the ship. Somehow Stormie pulls a crazy move and misses her chance to attach, but she tries again and attaches us to the ship, rotation be damned. We find Horton dead in his vacc suit, we say a few words and space him. The ship nets us a nice commission and a trip...Tremes Dex here we come.

*Not sure how to re-order the blog so I re-posted the end to the first adventure. Thanks!
